1) What did you learn about Ecuadorian culture from the folkloric ballet?  What were your favorite parts and why?

I learned that they love to express their traditions in different ways through dance and symbolic movements. They are very proud of their culture, and dance is a great way to express the different aspects of their daily lives. They are very open to sexual and seductive interpretations of their lives as well.

My favorite parts include the glowing flowers of the women under the black lights, as well as the solo music parts with the guiatarists and the pipers. Their talent was very impressive. I also enjoyed he part wear they wove the ribbons on the pole and untangled it as well, wow! I did not expect that.

2) How does dance serve as a universal form of nonverbal communication?

Dance serves as a non verbal form of universal communication because you can express things through symbolism, song, and dance. Everyone in the world can understand one or all of these parts, especially when they are combined.
